Yeah, it looks like at some point after 2010 there was a major change in the way he did business. I actually did a quick HAMB pre-check on them but as luck would have it, I read one of the old glowing reviews. Should of dug around more...Lesson learned. I already started the paperwork with my Credit union and I'm researching other avenues. If all else fails...Me and the big fella in my avatar might just drive out and visit Patrick's. I'm just worried that feeding him there and back might just put me upside down money wise. Suppose I should stick to the legal route.

I would call the Arizona Attorney Generals office and speak to someone in the frauds division!
Just a thought, but it might get their attention!

I have been to Patrick's . . . and have purchased from them in the past and also waited months for a 3.55 gear set. I distinctly remember the day because it was the day that Sully landed an airliner in the Hudson and Patrick was going on and on about old farts being the only kind of pilot that could do that. His son was mocking his dad behind his back and the family dynamic was a sad thing to behold.

After visiting and seeing how the operation ran with a lot of Hispanic labor machining flange surfaces on Fenton headers and "restorations" being sloppily welded, bondo'd, and painted, there is not a snowballs chance in hell I would buy from them again. A few months after receiving my parts from them I put their email addresses on my spam blacklist as they had so many malware attacks that would send out robot emails that it was a joke.

Something weird happened to that family and it is sad to see how a thriving business has gone down the tubes.

I don't give a flying hamster's **** about what ethnic group is doing the work as long as it is being done well. Beyond that, the whole thing is sad. Wonder what happened?

Just a little update I to had the same problem, ordered parts, after months of waiting and listening to the same excuses, no parts. Called my credit card company they went after them and credited my card back. 5 months later Patricks charged my card again. Again called CC co. they are looking into it. So everyone beware they may try to collect again. Keep an eye on those statements.

Sonsda*****es!!!!!! ****s man, sorry to hear this. S***bags.....I thought these TURDS might sink to that level so I got a new card number when I filed my complaint. I filed a complaint with the District Attorney's office and with my debit card provider. I should get my money back in a week or so...If you use a debit card it's like 60 day process. I guess when you deal with a P.O.S. vendor it's probably best to just go ahead and get a new card. Thanks for the info 38jon

Back in 93 made a trip from Tucson to Patrick's to get some gears for a friend to carry back to Ohio. He paid for the parts and gave them my name and said I would pick them up.
Got there they said they had shipped them. He sued them in Ohio won they finally sent him cash in an envelope with a nasty letter via the court system. The judge called the IRS on them.
Sounds like they never have changed.

93'???? Wow, How are they even allowed to accept Visa/ Master card at this point? There has to be tons of complaints filed against them.

As one of the near original members of Inliners International I met Patrick ****s back in the 70's, nice enough but to me one or two bricks shy, if you know what I mean. I have never done business with him and never did plan on it. In the distant past he did try to talk me out of some of my stash. He found out what's mine stays mine.
At one time he advertised in the I I publication called the 12 Port News but no longer does.
There are folks out there, we all know who, take advantage of the novices here and locally and we need to guide them if we can. I especially see this with car shows and the like... Someone sees $$$ and they go off half ***ed to get it at any cost.
Due diligence is what's used with money management and with our vintage cars and parts as well.

You never said if the ring and pinion you ordered was for the original rear end or if it was for one you installed in the truck. The reason I mention that is I have a brand new ring and pinion for a 12 bolt Chevelle rear that I would GIVE you if it correct for your truck. Sorry some other ding bat scammed you out of your $700.

Sorry for the slow response..Two jobs and two kids keep me moving. It was for my 53' 3100 with original running gear. It does however have a 54' 235, stilling running the three on the tree. Like the nostalgia of it..

I went to my credit card company (visa) after 8 months. They initially said I had 3 months to make a claim so I was SOL. But then they went ahead and said they would send Patricks a letter and give them 60 days to prove that they shipped the parts. So I emailed Patricks and told them to refund my money or ship the parts. Danese ****s emailed me back saying that Patrick was sick for four weeks and that what I was doing was very hard on them. Either way 60 days has p***ed, nothing came from Patricks, and Visa gave me my $800 back!!

Very good on your part. Sorry for Patrick but Visa will go after him and from I heard are not kind since this is a reflection on them for accepting into the credit business family.

Glad to hear this Bamalm. At least there's light at the end of the tunnel. I can't wait to get my money so I can buy the exact same part I've already bought.. Lol.. Just can't believe they're still allowed to process through Mc/Visa. Yeah jimmy six, hopefully Mc/Visa cuts them off at the knees.

BBB gives them an F, and when you do a google search the HAMB thread is near the top. You'd think the "information era" of doing business would crush businesses like these.

I used to have good service with Patricks but they screwed me around on some fentons a few months back, they ********ted me 5 or 6 times then finally coughed up the money, I told the son how I felt about them and he sounded like he was gonna cry. I'm done with them.

I agree, the information era will crush them. I actually did a quick search on them before my purchase but as luck would have it I found an old thread with glowing reviews. Lesson learned the hard way.... It's sad that what used to be a reputable business is now nothing more than a internet scam. I believe Patricks is circling the drain and the buzzards will soon be circling overhead.

Resolution: I ended up getting a full refund on my debit card from Visa. Although it's a slow process you can get your money back like a credit card. It's just slower and takes more leg work on your part.

Or maybe some folks know that a sample set with only three data points isn't statistically significant.

On the AZ BBB website... there are complaints listed back to August 2015 on Patricks . It seems Patrick's have not responded to most of the complaints. I bought many parts from Patrick's Antique autos decades ago. I drove down to Casa Grande from Glendale AZ. It's sad they went in the toilet.

Man...All that time, countless complaints thru 3 major CC companies. How long does it take for the 'long arm' to reach out?
I'm remembering Patrick's as a solid company, run by a personable, solid guy!
Bought a few sets of Fentons from Patrick when I had the shop in San Jose, never a complaint.
HATE to see a good biz sink, especially with Patrick's former track record.
    God'll getcha...

I ordered from Patricks several times in the 1990's. Most of the time I got my parts quick, and they were well made--no Chinese junk. Last time I ordered was for a cast aluminum valve cover. I waited and waited and finally called. They explained it was back ordered, and they cancelled my order, but at that time they didn't charge my card first. I have respect for Patrick's--he also helped me out with studs for a replacement cast valve cover I bought from a member--Patrick sent the studs to me free of charge after I had gotten screwed by Cliffords.

  29. Sorry to hear this happening to any one. Sad, l was eventually gonna order one of Patricks highway gear sets for a 51 Chevy pick-up, l've been eyeballing for years & years (not 4 sale, yet) Is there anyone else that makes such gears?? I'm getting that old truck and it runs drives perfect except for the top end of 50 mph....it's great!
