Quick little preview of what I am working on to be a do***entary on Pinstripers. I have a long way to go yet. Just now collecting footage. Have a look see: http://www.hooliganfilm.com/pinstripers/pinstripers_clip1.html
A friend of mine's been strip'en scence 1956. He did the flames of this wagon wish I had some better pic of his work
Rikki, looks like a great piece so far, very interesting and inspiring! when do you plan on trying to release it? I'm just starting with pinstriping myself, hard as hell to do too But i'm sure once it comes, it will just flow like the rest of the great stripers. just need to put the time in with the brush! good job on the trailer of the film. CAB
That was Awesome! It's about time. I am very interested in the outcome of your endeavor. If you ever get out to Chicago, We'll look up some unsung Pinstripers that would of been giants if they had started out in Cali. Goodluck with the project. Joel
Hey Rik, I don't know how many striping events you go to outside of California, but there are amazing "Panel Jams" in different places each year. Ron Myers and Greg "Lil Toot" Tuter are a couple of bad *** stripers from this area. Myers has been laying lines since '58 and Toot is an artistic madman. They hook up with stripers from all over, including Canada, for a weekend and do some WICKED stuff. They call them Panel Jams, and you should be able to find some coverage online. Unkl Ian here on the HAMB goes to these events and knows all about these things. I don't know how far your do***entation has been covered, but there are some REALLY *****IN pinstripers in the most obscure places. I'm anxious to see the full length video. Keep us posted on production. Reverend Jake
ALL TIME NY/NJ LEGENDS Vic Kessler - Probably the most successful Nicky Rorro - He was Nicky Rorro Alex in Wonderland-Words cant begin too describe,To label his work as striping is not enough. Nelson Medina-Top flite pro Gary the Local Brush- knife grade prescision Clay White straight lines Harpo Glen Weisgerber Darryl Designs D.J. Alan Johnson of course
...........rikki is an accomplished striper himself. He "understands." Neat project...........keep us posted on it's release.

Hey Franco,I yhink I shot the **** with you briefly at the show in Long Island about a 40 tudor that you had when Alex was there striping
Guess I should put in a plug for Larry Hook out of RI who does everything and does it all better than most. Especially well know for his fine straight lines and wild flames. And of course I've got to also plug my long time friend (and the guy who keeps my truck looking the same every time I repaint it (like every 10 years or so) Brian Fredricks also know as Brian Signs. Great old school pinstripping (cause he's an old guy probably ) You can find him at the TyRods (Conn not M***) clubhouse any Tuesday night. He's also been lurking here for a bunch of years and refuses to post. We've also got a guy that just moved up here recently (Charlie) the One-Armed Bandit. What I've seen of his pinstripping is great.
Awesome work, Rikki. I'm so glad you're taking the time to preserve pinstriping legends and their words.
Palmer Rules. Lets not forget Safariknut, either...Loads of talent and I have yet to see anyone match his energy and enthusiasm.
