Projects Source for '65 ford truck parts.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 31Vicky with a hemi, May 10, 2017.

  1. I have a 65 ford truck here with a bunch of brand new door parts, latches, handles ect. that are complete garbage. Another shop did the work and they've closed up so I'm not sure who they got the parts from. I don't want the same problems.

So who's got the good stuff ?
    Thanks

x2 Carolina Cl***ics. Call them. If they don't have it, they can tell you who will.
Problem is, most of the "new" parts all come from the same chinese factory.
Used parts are out there also.....and some NOS stuff if you have time to track it down.

Ford probably made some good parts for those trucks.

  10. I'm sure they did.
Everything was tossed for new pretty stuff that doesn't bother to work.

    Kinda like a cute secretary.

If possible, try to use originals......that's the "good" stuff!

My take a little longer but...........

When I started building my A's less than 10 years back and started ordering parts and receiving offshore junk.......the hunt was on for originals.

  13. My Saturday is jammed up, this one is anyways. It's 4hrs 1 way to Dayton.
But if you're going anyway, I can give you a list of what I need, you can text me some pics. I'll make it worth your efforts.

Let me know what you need and I will see if there are any of those parts, the old state trucks have been sitting in there since the early 70s and the one I got a front bumper from had 72 tags.

What the above gents didn't tell you about Dennis Carpenter is that they have some of the orginal molds from Ford and are licensed by Ford to make and sell parts, I've bought a bunch of stuff from them and its all been good, plus they have a warehouse that has quite a bit of NOS stuff in it.
Also NOS Ford in Texas has a lot of stuff also and a good guy to work with.

    Yes it is.

  20. What I need is...
All the door stuff both doors.
    Mirrors,
    Jamb strikers
Outer Door handles and ****ons, door latches, the inner handles, mechanisms the little inner pieces parts. Might be easier for us both to just grab 2 whole doors & I'll strip them. That's 8 - 9/16 bolts. The strikers have #3? Phillips

And A wiper switch with knob and escutcheon.
