So I got this model a truck and want to change up the frontend to an I beam and move it back under the core support, that's not really the problem. The problem I have is I want to get the grill shell in front of the core support but I'm worried there will end up being too much room between the fan and the radiator. Right now it's got an electric fan on it that I want to ditch and put a water pump mounted one. Anyone happen to know a measurement from the water pump snout to the radiator? I don't have any of the parts and don't want to spend the money on them if it's gonna end up looking stupid.
Here is the truck, the idea is to make it look like this weesner print 20170514_022115.jpg 20170420_184809.jpg Keith+Weesner+20-1.jpg 20170514_022115.jpg 20170420_184809.jpg Keith+Weesner+20-1.jpg

I can't see from the photo but I'm guessing the front spring is on a perch protruding from the front cross member? You'd need a new front cross member and you will have to move the hairpin mounts back a ways. Mounting the radiator on the cross member would mean it would need to be ridiculously short to line up with the channeled cab. It would be a lot of work to get close to the look of the artists impression (which let's remember is just that). Installing an I beam will also require a set of spring mounts for the hairpins to bolt up to. You might want to just start with installing the I beam an see how you feel about the stance then. I see a lot of rods done this way end up with the rad in the back.

I agree your wheelbase looks too long compared to the illustration. Any chance of attaching the axle you have behind the spring instead of infront (should be symmetrical so just flip 180* and reattach to other side of spring) and just shortening the radius rods? Then you could bob the horns. Paint will go a long way to fulfilling the conversion. Paint on some white walls
