Hey I know there's at least one other guy on here interested in the buick 215, so i thought I would post this link as a resource. Its the website for D&D specialties, it has some pretty interesting information about the 215, to include parts interchange for stroking in all known configurations. I have bought a few parts from him and his service was pretty ok. http://aluminumv8.com/
SPAMMING *******!!!! (just kidding) I don't think this is a spam post. Looks to me like sharing useful resources. Thanks for the info. I've considered building a 215 at some point, so this is helpful.

I've heard they way about as much as a cast iron four banger. Now which four banger they are refering to, I don't know. What's a 215 actually weigh, compared to, say an sbc?[/QUOTE]
I'm building the Olds version for my 26 T two door sedan. They are a trick little mill. But building one is more expensive than a more capable SBC by 50-100 percent. Search "Olds Buick 215" from time to time. Lots of good stuff for those puppies out there.
yep 318 lbs, and thats from flywheel to fan! when i pulled mine out of its buick, me and a friend picked it up and carried it to his truck and put it in the bed.
It would be really cool to take a small british sports car like an MG or 50's jag, and drop one of these motors in there. A couple of years ago I was at a swap meet and there was a complete one with everything, all shined up with a nice aluminum intake and a new carb, but the dude wanted like 2 grand for it. He claimed it was rebuilt and had a new cam and whatever, I just didn't want to drop 2 grand on a motor I'd never heard run. But it was a really neat little motor. I'd really like to have one. Gotta love those wieght specs.
