No shit, why do people feel they have to bitch about the price of a car???

I can't afford one, but I'm not going to bitch about it either....

I'd really like a 1960 Austin Healy, but they are way out of my league price wise...

I guess I have better things to bitch about other then the price of a car....Like getting kicked off the osr board!!!!damn it!!!hahaa

Everyday it becomes more apparent that Brookville is on the right track. If the market is really that strong for this OEM stuff, the reproducton stuff(often higher quality) is just fine for me! Why not buy a new one?

I know I keep singing their praises but if you get a chance, take a close look at a Brookville '32 3w. It's one fine body and no rust, no dents, no torch and hammer modifications and the list goes on. It's a lot of money but after seeing these gennie prices I'm beginning to think they are OK expecially for a hot rod.

  17. Just because he has a 'buy it now' price for 60K doesn't mean that it will sell for that much. Good for him though if he can get that.

    I agree....... :D :)
Now that they are real close to having complete bodies for sale......
When I got my original Ford coupe.....they had over 150 deposits.....and no complete bodies....so it was going to be a long wait.....

Brookville roadster bodies have not diminished the prices of original 32 Ford roadster bodies....but I believe they have helped slow down the spiraling upward climb of the prices on them. Maybe the 3W coupe bodies will do the same......cause a lot of old hurt, bashed original 32 3W Ford bodies will be able to get back on the street will the help of Brookville pieces :) Which is great..

  20. I just hope I can get into one of these before they go sky high...

  21. If that car gets 60 grand, mine will be the next one on the block. Id even take $59,000 for mine. It's just not worth it, but if someone stupid wants to show up with that kind of money, Ill show him how a fool and his money are soon seprated. Useless.

See eBay 4629240762. Pretty nice chopped Fordor highboy project for reasonable money, although reserve is not yet met (not mine, no affiliation).

I will never own one. I could have twenty years ago..... I could have done alot twenty years ago.

BUT, on a pure investment standpoint...... Only real ones will go up and up and up. Brookville will only cement in the higher prices. If a 30K Brookville body is affordable to you, one at 60K is too. Sorry, its true. There is only one "real" 32 and it wasnt built in Brookville.

No one on a budget is going to buy a Brookville 3W body. Not my kind of budget anyways,.... no, the guy buying a brookville body cant find a real one. We are seeing the last of them being sold now. If the Hamb lasts 10 more years we will be talking about being able to buy these things for 60K.

There is only one real 1932 Ford. Complaining about the price is almost as rediculous as thinking a Brookville is just as good. I saw a Led Zepelin cover band once, sounded pretty good too. I'm not dumb enough to think I saw Zepelin.

60 is the Buy it now.......price....
I do not believe it will make that......but it may make the reserve. I do not know what the reserve is.......

If the BUY IT NOW price was 35 grand.......it would already be gone.... guaranteed.....

So true Randy. If the buy it now was that kind of money we wouldn't even be talking about it, it would have sold within 15 minutes of being listed.

What I can't figure out is why the Ford coupes are worth so much more than the Chevys. You'd be lucky to get $6,000 for a 3w chevy coupe in that same condition. Granted, the wood is a pain in the ass...
