  16. Christchurch, New Zealand on a wet afternoon in 1960. The corner of Cashel and Colombo Streets. Pre war Morris M series 10 hp on the right. A Mk7 Jag with a Standard Vanguard ute just visible behind it, and unusually, two fifties Chevs further down the street. Not common to see two of those on the same place in those days as there were never many around. The yellow truck is an English Ford Thames. All of those buildings are now gone - demolished due to earthquake damage in 2011. Murrays Unichem Chemist was still on that corner until the 2011 earthquake. Cnr Cashel Colombo 1960.jpg

  22. Ruapuna race circuit, Christchurch, New Zealand. The start of a race for New Zealand built specials, probably 1964. many of the cars in this picture are still in existence with some still regular runners in historic events. Car #14, a V8 special, has its builder, Neil Stuart, at the wheel. He went on to build several more race cars. The red car is the 260M Zephyr and the black car #13 is the ACE III, also Zephyr (English Ford) powered. Ruapuna maybe 1963 NZ Specials.jpg
