Beautiful Olds! Can you share some specs with us on the mods to the car and that engine. Really like the sneaky exhaust treatment.

Thank you for sharing your story and pictures . A gallon of wine for pin striping and flames WOW. I'm glad you survived to race again. Very nice black Olds.

Man I love first person history, right from the horse's mouth. Amazing. Thanks for telling your story, and please tell any others you may have. There's people here who soak this stuff up, and I'm one of them. Thanks!
Not to mention, damn sweet cars!

This was my next car a 59 Chevy Impala and photos of the car pulling the 40 Ford to a dragstrip with flag men, that was before timing lights.

    The story is not over![IMG][IMG]
A total loss! On the way to The Turkey Rod Run in Daytona last year while in the fast lane a big rig came into my lane, forced me off the road and down the embankment upside down. Luckily for the thick metal of the 50 Olds, my wife and I were not hurt.
I was able to buy the wreck back from the insurance company. The engine, trans and GearVendor were not hurt and now part of my next project. A 50 Olds Tin Woody Wagon. Hopefully it will be finished for next Spring. Started with a good body, added an Art Morrison ch***is and with the addition of my Ross Racing Engine it should make a good driver for my 80th birthday. [IMG]

You've been a lucky man through the years with the cars you owned and the accidents you've had.
I still can't get past the first picture you posted and the clothes you were wearing.
Total chick magnet ha ha, those were the days weren't they?

Even now I don't think I have your program but I feel your pain and also admire the power you have to move on. Show us that metal "woody" when it's done.

It's about 50% finished, hopefully it will turn out to be my best 50 Olds project.

You have style sir, but I'm not sure you have enough luck left over to buy lottery tickets.

    Great stories, tho.

    Thanks for sharing.
