Hello fellow hambers, Here at ccs one of the transportation design classes has been designing a bonneville car for the year 2015 most of the designs blow but a couple are good one of which is my friends. He wants to use some black and white pictures of the salt flats with a car or two on it, the thing is that they need to be high res so that he can blow them up to around 13" by 19" for his image boards they are going to just be background ghost images I guess so they don't have to be super nice but still pretty good. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks Brent

Getty won't give you more than a low res for a comp unless you pay the dough - and that can get expensive, esp. if it's a rights managed image.

You might luck out with Google? You can narrow the search to larger images. If it's only a background you could bump the resolution and add a subtle effect to help hide the trash.

Ya know, I did a Google Earth. How large do ya need it?
You can download google earth and get right down to your front lawn if you like.

  13. 1. I supplied a large number of photo's to the DLRA site....

    2. I'f you do a search, there are alot of photos availible, depending on exactly what your mate wants to see, I might be able to help him out(for free)......I've photographed both here in Oz, as well as in B'ville last year so I might have something suitable, but I'd really preffer to hear about what he want to see as I'm not going to spoonfeed....

    Here's one from last Speedweek...

That pic of the 6 coupes on the salt is the best rod pic I've seen.

I've got quite a few vintage photos from the Unocal archives and some from my collections.

Here's a few. All are available in higher resolution versions.
