  4. 170519Alfabubble1-.jpg Howdy, been busy...

Had this unsold painting hangin' around that I painted at Naracoorte Swap in '13. A stock '75 Alfa Romeo with ugly 5mph bumpers.
Went to English Workingmen's Club for their KK style car park toy rally for Children's Hospital. Sat in the show and proceeded to give this unloved painting a workover. About an hour later, I gave this work to the kids.
Hope a lil' future hotrodder digs this 12x16" piece.

Drew Marlene too. She gave me $10.00 and a wild handmade punk- style sleeveless top, stitched with plastic tube. Bitchin'.

    Hello,

When home computers came around in the early 80's, it was an eye opener. There was so much stuff to experiment with and learn, but that programming stuff was not for us. (Too late for our older minds at the time) But, writing, typing, designing, all came to a method that was a little easier than using a Royal Typewriter and an old art book.

Did the IBM and Apple Computers change the way we looked at things? Yes, did it change the ability of the artist? No. Photographs became easier to clear up, compose, and fix. Writing stories and concise notes became a daily habit. But computer art design was not in our blood.

It will always remain an impressive feat that there are some that can draw things. Whether it is cars, planes, people, etc. That ability is something to be admired. Creativity will always be there, but actual drawing art will be a step back, for me.

Drawings started as simple chicken scratches on my Pee Chee notebook during those slow, boring, lectures in junior high school... to drawings in the borders of college notes, in equally boring and longer classes.

First attempt at computerized drawing based on a Carson Top Ford convertible late 1990's as PC computer programs made it a little easier to use for the everyday person.

Perhaps too new and musclely I just don’t get many opportunities to draw cars nowadays and thought I’d share...

Rusty...being a pipefitter by trade, your plumbers truck cracks me up, specially the flattened pipe strap screwed to the front fender and the way shits just bolted to the body wherever it can be....I think that's what makes your stuff so cool is the details are so true to life.
