    Hey guys,

I just completed my pedal car stroller and I figured I'd share it with you all. Still needs an interior and some pin stripping. IMG_0030.jpg [IMG][IMG][IMG]

That's really cool. Are you going to attach a handle to the back so you can push it?

That's the plan, trying to work out a removable handle right now.

Are you going to match the rear wheels to the fronts?

I probably should paint them black, I didn't remember them showing so much before paint.

  9. I did a simular project 20+ years ago for my Grandson. I used a Kurtis Kraft 1/4 midget body. My handle was also removable and fastened on the rear Nerf bar. It was a simple 1/2 saddle that sat over and under the bars and just lifted off. It could also lift the front tires to take away steering from the Kid. If you have a ladder rack or something close that goes on the back of the Body you could use the same method. The initial Handle bars started life off a push mower. All era correct ya see.

  12. I couldn't help but notice that you reused that pallet, despite a clear warning not to do so. A letter has been sent to the proper authorities. They will be checking your furniture and mattress tags, as well
    Nice stroller

I built one a wile back with a full tube frame (read as chopped up grocery cart) To attach and remove the handle I got a large socket from the surplus store for a buck and a nut that fit it. attached the socket to a pole and pushed that way. Drilled a hole in them both and had a little clevis pin to hold it in place when needed.

I built a pedal car stroller a several years ago for my Grandsons. The back of the car had been totally rotted off so I designed a back panel with two tailpipes welded to it. I then made a handle that could easily be inserted into the tailpipes and removed for storage.
Mine also has a removable floor pan so the boys could actually use the pedals when they got older.
On a smaller VW pedal car I also welded some tailpipes that support a removable stroller handle. Currently cleaning the VW up and changing the name on the license plate for a Great Nephew who will be visiting me this month and later for my new Granddaughter.

That mercury pedal car looks pretty good. The tail pipe idea is a good idea too.

  20. I see extra holes in the rear section of the body panels. Is there some kind of railing that goes on there. If so I think that would be where I tried to mount a push bar if possible. If you can mount a little high on the body the handle won't be real long to do the job.

The holes are to the rack holders. They will be used to hold interior in it though. I have a little stub off the back end of the frame to slide a handle on, I just have to finish it.

The extra holes come from the ladder holders in the fire truck. I have a handle made that pins into a stub off the back.
