The process has started moving stuff from the old house which had a fire at the rear corner IMG_4206.JPG IMG_4273.JPG IMG_4273.JPG IMG_4272.JPG to the new house. Cleaned up some of my manuals....the is about one fifth of the library that needs to be moved. On the positive side at the moment...some loss mainly from water but looking good.

So glad you didn't lose it all. Recent barn fire near me was a reminder how fast things can happen.
Then I went out and bought a hose that reaches anywhere in my shop and a large fire extinguisher. One for each car, too.

Yep...have fire extinguishers also....wasn't at home....some like the Motors Manual's are easily replaced - that big Ford book on the bottom covers trucks part #'s / illustration's - from about 1929 until 1964. Will post some more lucky and not so lucky.....also thought it would be a little funny and help....

Thanks Bruce.....just wasn't moving fast enough - haha - at least moving now. Had a shop I sold with about a dozen cars and parts that took up most of the new place which came available a year or so back - had buyers ready to buy my shop so did a quick move there. Haven't built out the tennis court yet but it's full ! I'll pm you the address - you can google it - I've been after this place for a looong time - it's been a rent house about 40 years or more - it's a little over an acre.

1st pic looks a whole lot like at least 3 kinds of mold - & lots of it. What did you use to clean/kill that?
    TIA.

man I hate to see that , if that happened to me I would be screwed . I remember when I could buy one book for several vehicles for $50 , now its several books for one vehicle at $2-300 ea , I spent $3200 for 8 3" thick books for one large truck manufactuer , if I work on them I have to have them ( paper doesn't need batteries to read it and will not crash and loose info ) .
