I would like to see some old school Pinstriping pictures Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Check out Auto Art Magazine for some really cool pinstriping work. Enjoy Jimbo https://www.autoartmagazine.com/
This is from Sam Gambino Sr., he and I have from Lincoln Park Michigan. He is still going strong well into his 70s. He still lives up north but comes to visit Alabama once and awhile.
Anyone ever seen David Hightowers panels he paints? I think he was living in Kansas somewhere. I believe many of them reside with collectors or art museums. I have not seen or heard anything from David in years but his work was simply light years ahead of everyone I ever saw pinstriping panels. He was a true artist and loved what he did. Jimbo
Dave's still around. Still working. He's a helluva nice guy. He even cruised a local car show in my 34.
Von Dutch style bunny of the front of a 51 Chevy I used to have. Don't know who striped it. Also - the flames had green striping, which looked a lot cooler than you might think.
My cooler top done from a guy in Iowa 2 years ago Sent from my iPod touch using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
This thread inspired me to go out and take some shots of the stripes on my '56 truck. The stripes were done at a Solon, Ohio cruisein 25 years ago by a guy who's name I can't recall. I do remember him telling me that his real job was traveling with Guns and Roses to paint backdrops which they would destroy during thier show. His stripes were way more permanent than his backdrops
