Hey guys. I'm not new on the H.A.M.B. but I'm new to this group. I've already seen some very good things in this group and gotten some good info from the stickies. I recently got a decent deal on a 53 customline that I'm cleaning up. I'm no body man or mechanic (I'm a carpenter) but I'm putting together a driver, hopefully. I'm from south jersey. Anyone that wants to come help gets beers and coffee.

Welcome! Why is it all the offers for beer are so far away? Nice looking ride. Be sure to post lots of pics.

Thanks everyone! I'll be taking pics as I go along. I already got the door solenoids in. Really easy to set up once you take the hinges out. It was shaved when I bought it. I would have rather had handles but it's pretty cool.

I'm really considering the Aerostar springs but I'm thinking I'll crush the laker pipes on my driveway.

I was in a f100 group as well, and this group has WAY more info to share. If anyone wants a how to on the solenoid and wiring let me know! I can help in anyway I can.

Welcome! How low does the car sit now? I did the springs and half inch spacer on the control arms and only bottom out once in a great while. cc.jpg dd.jpg

That's a '59 grill. I saw one locally on a '57 Ford, actually 2 of them. The '59 grills survived, they were protected by the m***ive front bumper.

It already hits on my driveway. I think it may be easier to fix the driveway. Lol

So I started on the brakes. This went in easily. Excuse the wiring. That's last. I only had to make a very small mod to get the bracket up. The screws coming through the firewall from the pedal side got in the way. A simple cut and grind fixed
    it.

Does anyone have suggestions for a different speedo cable location? It's literally right on the middle of the booster.
