I have been running a slant 6 for years however I don't have any info on what you are looking for. I would recommend checking this site wwwslantsix.org they should be able to help you with all you need. Hobo Jim
Haven't looked, but 1st guess would be used in a military application, like a power wagon or big(ger) truck. Marcus...
never seen one, nor a govenor type , and worked on many of them sewing machines .. I know on some of the liftrucks they used a cable drive off the generator to operate the governor for the the carb . but these were old .... and when we converted them to alternators we used a electronics box on them to do the switching .
you can find tach drive distributors for some of the Mopar V8s. But they are quite different from the six distributor.
Hmm that is too bad. A slant six distributor is supposed to be an easy swap for the stock flat six part.
maybe get a Mallory dist for a slant 6 and the top half of a Mallory with tach drive, bit of cutting bit of machining , bobs your auntie?
Comparing the photo of the import to the photo of the box-o-distributors, it looks like they have enough similarities to get out the calipers and start measuring stuff. ...and they both spin the same direction..... I say that a tech thread is in order...... .
