Interesting drive train! they were not made to go fast! just short distances with many stops. With 8 now known you have passed the Thorne Gas-Electric which 5 1/2 left. I have to say the Stutz would look better than a Thorne lowered with fender skirts and etc.....

Sorry to be a me-too sort, but I love it.

I'd be tempted to offer to take one off your hands but I suspect I'd go into the deal married and come out single.

If you might be interested in selling, check out the private message I sent a while back. Thanks.

  7. They had a display of anique delievery vans in Underground Attlanta the last time I was there, there could have been one of these there, they had some 30's Divco street car looking things.

I did a search, no pics, and only about 2 sentences listing that they are there.

Can't believe the suspension on that thing. I wonder how good it was and how it would be on a car. I don't think American cars had anything like it.

Cool stuff. As rare as they are, kinda strange to find two of them in one place.

I was going to say that if I was a gazillionaire, I would restore one into a icecream truck and give icecream away for free to put smiles on peoples faces...

  23. Seven year old thread, with no follow up.
Can't by wonder what became of this pair.

  24. Sold them to a local guy, saw them on Craigslist about 4 years ago. He did a little work on the better one but probably realized the complexity of the project and abandoned ship. I never thought about it until after they were gone but there's a 2 in 28 chance that one of those is the very last Stutz built.

A few shots right before it left.
    Whereabouts unknown....
