    If that question is for me, where did I ever say I was running open engine / transmission components? Another poster who ***umes something not said.

    I (as a former builder and owner of a T Bucket) knew first off that heat was going to be an issue. But, not being a sissy, I went ahead and built it. Drove it a bunch and never died of heat exhaustion.

    Huh?o_O I drove my T :rolleyes:Bucket all the time and engine heat in the p***enger compartment was a none issue. I mean, if it's a hoodless, ******* roadster, how would engine heat be an issue?

    My bad I ***umed that with the floor below the frame you would have drivetrain components above the floor.

    Somehow I missed this post. Thanks for the pics. Glad to know cracking is not a problem. I think I will go this route instead of the wood.

    Without the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, the mounts you refer to in the pic.... is it the long strip or the two fore and aft mounts...

    It is the long strip, the other mounts are for the roll bar. BTW you didn't sound like an idiot !
