Let's see some more awesome works of art

  8. Made this for my buddies car club. My car had won one the year before. So I made one to give back. Got everything from a local s**** yard. My friend striped and lettered it. 20160528_095104.jpeg

The Vintage Tin of Maryland club was kind enough to give me this homemade trophy simply for being the 40th registrant at their 40th annual picnic/show back in 2011. '40 Ford headlight door on a wooden base with a photo-etched lens and a push ****on closet light behind. I treasure it. 20170130_160746.jpg 20170130_160823.jpg

I won this one at the Port City Rumble in Wilmington, NC called the ****alee award. it had a toilet paper roll and a couple of magazines. My old Buick was pretty rough back then. It was all in good fun.

One of the guys in our Buick club owns a shop that makes custom headlights. He has CNC machines and cut these Buick trophies out of sold aluminum. Chrome plated for best in show post-war and gold plated for best in show pre-war. We made plaques to go on them. BuickShow-2005 (44).JPG

Edcodesign, they say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery
...so, we had a small window to do a trophy, for upcoming Billetproof
Having just done a timing chain job, on a 1970 Ranchero 351 Cleveland, I was inspired to expand on your idea.
Sliced off a chunk of red cedar, at work and went to town
Club member El Shanebo, worked his magic with stripes and lettering
"Timing is everything " will be on my tombstone
