I need to pick up my pickup! It's a 1953 International. It's a nice truck with a clean ***le that I bought locally for cheap. It's been sitting for a long time though and I thought I'd take some wheels and tires to go get it (about an hour away). I forgot to measure the bolt pattern for the wheels and the feller I got it from does know and I'm not sure I'd trust the measurement from someone who doesn't know how to measure them. Anyone know for sure?
Hard to tell from the picture..is it a 3/4 ton? If so, not sure..if it is 1/2 ton it should be 5 on 4 1/2.. small ford pattern. Edit...it does look like 3/4 ton beadlock wheels..so I have no idea. Could be 8-lug... Brian
Unk, It looks like it has split rims on the back. Probably a 3/4 ton. If your lucky it will take the standard eight bolt 3/4 ton pattern. If it is like the old Metro van I had it is an oddball wide six bolt pattern. Best I can do. GV
Yep, I looked up the 120 on the web. It's a 3/4 for sure. Another thing that is for sure is that I don't have any of those rims! Guess I'll be dismounting those and getting some new tires. I actually kinda dig the big knobbys on it. Good farm truck. That's what it was. Few hundred bucks locally with a straight six and four speed. Nice solid truck with a clear ***le. One of those things you don't need but can't p*** on for that price.
If it is 8 lug, Chevy 3/4 ton wheels will fit. But I think you will find they are 6 lug in an 8" circle.
Try checking out oldihc.org it is an all I-H website they've got all the info you need. Good luck with your project. Pool
also look out for the fact that the lugs on one side or the other [I forget which] are reverse threaded - don't break any!!
This is very old so the information will only help the next guy looking, but the 6 lug International is a 7.25" pattern! Uncommon, but you can get wheels to fit, if you want to go tubeless rather than use the split rims, at http://www.stocktonwheel.com/heavy_duty.html
