Okay, I might catch some **** for this I dunno.. But I want to see some pics of stamped script valve covers, I want to take the script from one cover and put it on the valve cover for my 223 Ford... I think it would be kinda cool if it had like Caddy, Packard, Lincoln, etc. script on it.. It would just make people scratch their heads ya know?... Anyways show me what you've got... Any brand works, just need ideas..

1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser has bolt on, cast aluminum plate on right valve cover proclaiming that it is, in fact, just that.

  4. I'll have to get a pic of my 1957 PONTIAC 283 small block script covers. Pretty rare and really cool, its going in my '35 ford.

there is a fellow in the cl***ified that has been searching for a set for about a year now. from what i understand, the m*** majority of them we a decal rather than actually stamped in. some, however, did have the pontiac stamping.

Here's a hard to find one. From a 62-7? Chevy II 4 cyl. The engine wasn't long enough to get the full "Chevrolet" on the valve cover.

Thanks Guys, but I am going to hang on to them, they are destined for the '62 Monterey.

Those covers came on '66 and '67 Merc 410's (FE's not the MEL 410). I think that they also put them on other FE's, but I am not sure what years.

P.S. I do live in a very flat open part of the world, and the .270 Win mag has a very good scope on it. :D

I've seen those covers on a number of different Mercury FE's. Unfortunately, not on mine - YET.

Oops, my eyes didn't get past the valve covers. Lincolns had rams horns as well.
