They had some bugs to work out. Namely, using one vehicle to deliver just one vehicle was never going to be cost effective. But hey, it was electric, so no dinosaurs were harmed in the experiment.

That would be my thought too..God they would let you register anything back then. No lights, mirrors! Under 1500 # so guess didn't need fenders...

Kelso was a small town in rural Otago, New Zealand. Due to flooding from the adjacent Clutha River the town was abandoned in the 1970s. These are from the local archives.

 

This crop dusting DC 3 travelled to various parts of New Zealand and the pilot took his transport, a Fiat 500, with him so he could get to town from the airstrip.
