After 26+ years in the fire service I was ******ed home for the last time by some of my crew. Retirement starts today!

Good luck and have fun. My wife retired Friday after 39 years of teaching. Some decompression time may be needed for those who retire getting used to not going to work and sharing with your work family. I may retire in another month or so and I'm sure my send off will be, "And don't come back!".

Enjoy your retirement, but beware - if you think your time in the fire service went by fast, you ain't seen nothin' !!!

Congratulations on a career well served.

An awesome contribution to the community and a job well done. Kudos to you. When I retire in 1 1/2yrs I'll have 39yrs service with law enforcement. Where has it all gone. Everyone I know that has retired is now so busy it's a wonder they had time to work.:p

Very cool and congratulations. With proper focus on retirement you should be able to get from missing going to work to having to think to remember any details about work in about a year. Enjoy!

    Enjoy!.........You earned it.
Best job I ever had was retirement! Except for the Honeydew list that always seems to get in the way of my hotrod time.
