When it comes to striping, I always think first of of Ed Roth, and the "Beatnik Bandit". Each of the faded panels is outlined striped in no less than three colors (black, gold, and white), and are the real key to this magnificent paint job! Zoom in and check it out!
Roth was also responsible for the tasteful striping on Doyle Gammel's legendary three-window coupe... ...as well as Tom McMullen's roadster, one of the most iconic hot rods of all-time. (Also worthy of a closer look.)
Hey, thanks a bunch. I have wondered for years. Now I know but I guess I won't be able to get him to do more.

Ron Myers blessed our club house with some stripes. Dudley did the lettering and I did my Stray Kat... Ron also striped my dash and my Merc a few times..
I was at a car show a couple months ago when a guy came up to me and ask if I knew who did the pin striping on my car. I told him no since I bought the car finished. He said the pin striper autograph it. I said show me, I’ve never noticed a autograph. He pointed out the pin strip brush on the bottom. I thought that was pretty cool. In a previous post, work on my pinstriped car was attributed to Mark Fenyo, or Top Hat. Just how can a person tell for certain? It looks so similar to others on here. Pardon the photo. I was shaking a little, it is actually clearer than that.
