There wasn't much to pick from in November 1946 but that Motor sports cover sure looks interesting.

Mr48 - Pretty cool how one guy is painting before the plaster is done on the wooden slats on the other side of the car. the buffer guy is right behind both of 'em!

    Ha, so true!

I was born December of '62, the time of cool late 50's & early 60's Hot Rods & Customs.

Anyone care to put up some mag pics from Nov '61? I can't seem to copy them off the internet correctly, I guess.

April of 1944. No car mag that month. Just as well. I couldn't read till I was four and I was six before I could hold an arc.

DAM! born in 1939 and there were no hot rod books around back then....

  26. I actually remember both of those covers. just didn't know when they were. My granddad had boxes of Popular Mechanics and Popular Science when I was little. That was part of keeping me out of his hair, well that and a slide rule that I thought was a kids toy, until I took calculus in high school.LOL

November 1951 for me - I came home from the hospital in a black 1950 Bullet Nose Studebaker Starlight Coupe.
