the rules are simply. anyone who can identify the what the picture is wins some well earned bragging rights photo 1 shows a hose plugged with something we dont care about. the challenge is to identify the function of the ****** the hose is attached to. it is located on right side lower side of a 292 yblock just above the oil pan. photo 2 was taken beneath a 1956 country squire. it is located below the drivers door right between the frame rail and the rocker. thanks for playing what the heck is this
Photo 1 - block drain for the cooling system Photo 2 - body or seat belt mount but it's off center (I'm guessing on this one)
I'm not familiar with 292s, but any chance it's a heater coolant hose disconnected for summer?? My old 6 had a shutoff valve on it's coolant hose.
Either that or: 1 - This upside down pic shows something plugged with a condenser about an inch above the oil pan, crankcase area... No water cooling there I guess. Might be something related to breathing / crank case ventilation / PCV blocked? 2 - Aint go a clue what its for, but it is in the area where the rubber plug goes to remove water.
The first one should have a pet**** in it. Should be one on each side. Have no idea on the second pic.
