  2. Dude. I just was reflecting on a hood ornament - maybe you & that other feller want to duke it out.

Since I actually owned a Max Wedge, I /am/ familiar with them.

    peace/out

  10. "If you are going to drive a shoe box - shouldn't it be a Lincoln? Ronnie and Jane think so."

  11. You know, in the course of tearing down an engine for a rebuild - one that had never been apart before - I'd sometimes see these great big gouges in the machined surfaces. I'm pretty sure now how those gouges got there.

Two D Dragsters launch at Amarillo. The near lane is Jerry Agrima's Yankee Peddler, the far lane is Adler & Clark.

Tony Nancy sits in his famous "22 Jr" Plymouth wedge powered dragster. This one had a chassis designed by Tommy Ivo and the aluminum bodywork was designed by artist Steve Swaja. It was very short by today's standards but long then with a 109 inch wheelbase (today 300 inches is normal). It had a '61 Pontiac rear end with Honda motorcycle wheels up front mounted on '34 Ford spindles. The '63 Plymouth 426 wedge engine was stroked to 482 cubic inches. This car cost $8000 to build in 1963.
