In high school in the late 50's early 60's I used to sell Hangman's Nooses to students that I made from Venetian Blind Cord to hang on the mirror. Painted it white and outlined the coils with thin black line. I learned to tie the noose while a Boy Scout. I suppose in these days where a sense of humor is taboo it would not go over well. I think I will get me some cord today.

I've got my wife's & my high school graduation tassels hanging from the rear view mirror of our current car, just as they've hung from the rear view mirror of every car we've ever had since 1964 when we began dating. I don't give a crap who thinks they're not "traditional" !

 

Some broad putting on her make up. Pisses me off!

 

I just found my graduation tassel and I'm walking out to the garage to put it on my rear view mirror RIGHT NOW! I had it on my mirrors in the past, but not for last 30 years or so.

I was raised in the city. when i met my wife she lived in a much more RURAL area. which meant possum roadkill. A LOT of roadkill. it was a running joke with my wife and father in law. I found a stuffed possum about 4 " long that hangs by his tail. its hanging there now. Truck sets pretty low in front,could be called possum killer. Although now i need to find a stuffed ARMADILLO . I think they ran all the possums off .!

sorry for being the first one getting the thread serious, but after starting at 18 with these damn ole fuzzy dice, stinkin' trees and so on, the rear view mirror, that i restored like the other 98 percent of this ole scare crow, grewed up to be kinda a caretaker of something more than chinese muff or whatever you are carrying with on your roadtrips. For myself it is a small bottle containing a lil bit of the german sea, after we gave a burial at sea to my good buddy George roundabout 2,5 years ago. He always had a laugh even in the worst times, and even when his kidneys nearly stopped working, he took a roadtrip with us to the race 61, disappearing early at 5 a.m. to the hospital to "enjoy" the dialysis in the nearest hospital. R.I.P. George T. Öhlenschläger, one of the finest buddies i've ever had. i'll always take you out on our longest roadtrip. a pleasure to have you met.
