  11. In waterford Michigan, there was a place called (I think) Karen's Marina, which after it went out of business became Karen's Carpet. Any who, it was right on a small lake on Dixie Highway aka US-10. And for a couple of decades, an Amphicar could always been seen parked there.

So, nowadays there's this parade and an Amphicar is in it, and it also says Waterford MI on the side - I wonder if its the same one?

Oh, one other thing I remeber: Had a buddy with a Henry J. Said he got it from the owner of Karen's, but owner wouldn't lethim take the glass flip-front. So after Karen's went belly up, he talked me into driving over there and loading the glass frontend up & rescuing it. We put a big Poncho motor in it I had built, but was setting around because the customer never paid me for it.

I ran the Soul Shaker at E-town in D/MP (and beat him). That's the first photo I've ever seen of the car with that paint job. Thanks for posting!

It was alleged that N&B stood for "nuts and bolts". The body looked much like a Lister.

Don't know if they were Gilmore Girls or not, but I believe they are Betty Grable and Lucille Ball.
