Sweeeeeet! I really like the black (dark blue?) rims and that he has the white Firestone showing, almost 'land speed' in look
x2 on the Firestone lettering. That should be the only kind of white letter tires allowed on vintage cars.
Thanks....actually the letters are gold...kind of aged them a bit. Wheels are black with a double thick and thin stripe
When I was in High School I had a 39 sedan, everyone with 39's changed over to 40 lights. This involved trimming a little out of the fender to install the 40 buckets. Now guys with 40's want 39 doors an lenses. Nice to see this sedan either way, I like it......
Blow up the picture, it's oozin' body filler and rust ,is that cool ?. What's cool is when guys try to make their cars as nice as they can. I don't mind primer and i love home built rides, but i'm tired of rat rod looking cars being called traditional 'cause it's bullshit.
Actually my sedan is pretty much a rust free car that came out of a barn in Kentucky. The paint looks like it was done in the 70's and has just shed. A lump of filler was missing out of the back fender but that is pretty much it. We took the body off and painted and detailed the frame and popped in a rebuilt early 283 chevy motor and th350 trans. No way is this a rat...just an honest old car that is a hoot to drive.
I think '39 headlight assemblies look super on '40 Fords. I really believe I will use them on my '40.
