Pete Rose is from Long Island building a 39 Chevy coupe with a 261 Chevy six, I sold him an Offy 3 one bbl intake.
I thought he hang around with the man who own the flat brown chopped 49 Ford.

I would take Taconic Parkway and shoot over N.Y. route 23 west. Longer but more direct.

Did some advertising today at the local Hudson Valley Cruisers show in Ghent NY. Great turnout overall and a bunch of white wall rama friendly cars.

I went to the New York State Power Authority show today. Spoke with some venders and a lot of car owners.


This Nash Healey was the Cat's Ass!

Check your map quest again Jim. Looks like only 3 hrs to me.Hop on the 87 east and so on. I think this gig is shaping up very well,its been promoted hard. I am about 5hrs away and mostly highway,piece of cake drive. It will be good to see some different parts and stuff in the swap meet and see some different cars for once.Meet some new gear heads!! I am gonna start cleaning up artwork this week and finish up a new item(s) and get parts in order. Got 3 nights of sprint car racing coming up (WOO) that will interfere but I have waited a long time for this local race. The location of this show should pull in cars from a bunch of surrounding states I am guessing. Just do it!!!!

 

We are planning on about 200-250 cars, we have 16 swapmeet spaces sold. Jon and I have been everywhere from Boston Mass. to Wildwood N.J.
We have cars coming from The Capital Region, Southern Tier Central and Long Island New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and a man from the state of Delaware already sent his car up!

 

That's cool thank you Robert! Fedcospeed I was talking about both ways total driving time. I just wanted to find out how big the show was possibly going to be. I love the posters and I will probably be there! Hobo Jim

 

@56 Dodge Pickup we are not pre-registering cars, this is just based on the feedback Jon and myself have gotten from people.

I seems hard to believe a year ago yesterday myself, Jon Munster (@JohnnyDeadwater) and Dan Henke were having the meeting about the show!

 

I understand not pre Rey I never pre reg usually day of show or night before decision. You have done a Great job promoting the show should be a Great Time!

 

Just a reminder-

We have a preferred park area inside the gate next to the show field for '64 and newer, high tech, pro-street ect... however late model Chargers, Mustangs, and Corvettes will be in the general parking lot.

 

One week to go bump. Scramblin to finish a couple piston mugs to bring along.Blow the dust off some artwork and gather up some parts.Man time flies!!!

 

I will be hitting the Thunder in the Mountains car show tomorrow. The last show to hand out flyers before the White Wall-Rama!!

Saturdays weather-
Partly Sunny and 76 degrees.

 

Two sleeps for us and we are heading east. Cant wait to meet these guys on Friday and to help setup things.Got three nights of sprint cars and my 30th anniv dinner under my belt and now its German Resort -car show time!! Loading truck tonight.
Coming home from dinner last night we took a short cut down some small roads just for the hell of it.Spotted a 53 Buick 2dr hardtop ,unrestored for sale.Waiting to hear back from the owner with a price tonight...OH BOY!! Come on out this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!

 

All White Wall-Rama staff will be wearing these shirts.

Those guys back in the day had brass balls!! Take in a USAC wingless show if you can.We will be at Eldora in September for the Four Crown. I hope to see some old stock cars and sprints at the show!!
