Down I-65 at Brooks. Next to the fairgrounds should be OK. Pick some hotels and PM me and I'll let you know if they're OK.

If it were me I'd book a hotel/motel at exit 17 off of I 64. About 10 miles to Nats in a great safe area with plenty of restaurants. I have friends who stay there every year. Just Google hotels/motels I 64 exit 17 for their names. The Brooks area is further out then exit 17.

It's a little expensive but we stay at the Crown Plaza across the street from the fairgrounds. It (and the other hotels on the other side of the street) are right where the action is at night after the show closes, and that is worth a few extra bucks.

Been staying at Brooks for many years.....not more than ten miles south of the Fairgrounds on I-65 and has several motels, some fairly new and a Cracker Barrel plus other food options in between Fairgrounds and Brooks. Never have had any security issues there and is full of Nats attendees as well so people are on the alert.

Baymont Inn is where many of us stay dusting the Nats, but there are several others as well. Just google 'motels in Brooks, KY' for a list of properties there.

Phillips Lane runs along the edge of the fairgrounds, hotels are walking distance to main entrance (anywhere between 50 yards to a block or two). We usually stay at the Hampton Inn... good luck getting a room this close to the event.

If you have to head out further from town, try Shelbyville, Ky.

Another option is LaGrange, Ky (zip 40031) which is about 25 miles (20 minutes) from the fairgrounds. There are several hotels there right next to the freeway including a Quality Suites (888-305-3366), Super 8 (502-991-8116), Comfort Inn (502-222-5678) and Best Western Ashbury Inn (888-283-3404). There's a historic district about half a mile from the I-71 freeway (LaGrange is exit 22) which is where CSX freight trains go right down the middle of the street. Send me a PM if I can help you out in any way....
