  1. Here is what I saw today. It was awesome and glad I took my coupe with me. Part of this post will include the private tour I got from Bruce Meyers.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    ....here's the last of the images from the Petersen Museum Deuce Day recognizing the 85th anniv. of the 1932 Ford. Didn't see any "tubs", sedan delivery's, sport coupes or station wagons at this event, sorry to say, but nevertheless some cool & diverse stuff....Couldn't resist snapping a couple of low riders; A rarely used Buick and last but not least, the famous "Love Machine" w/"MUF DVR" CA license plate 1964 Chevy Impala from Cheech & Chong's 1st movie, "Up in Smoke" (If you grew up in my neighborhood, you'd understand). BTW, the museum has a latin lowrider as art exhibit going on, featuring a full-size "1964-ish, Chevy Impala-esque" hopping low rider piñata! (I had a picture, but it has to be seen in person to do it justice & appreciate the effort). Hope these put a grin on your face or were inspirational in some small way...Thanks for Lookin'! Not sure what happened to that ( I think that is the car that Jim Davis built when he was Pres of B&M), but he was sitting just outside the garage exit waiting for a tow truck when I left

    Surprised they let you take pictures in the Vault. We were told that was expressly Verboten and even had a security guard making sure no on e did take any pictures!

    Thank you guys for sharing the pics. I really want to build another Hot Rod but after looking at the pics I'm thinking who needs another Deuce. And then the little '29 Maroon Roadster Pickup comes up and I'm all intrigued. Like a breath of fresh air.....

    Somebody should tell Bruce that the Doane Spencer roadster looks really good with the hardtop on too. It's probably the best of it's many neat features.

    Thanks for the pictures. Looks like more roadsters than at LARS:rolleyes:

  24. I am sure it was ok since Bruce said it was. It was just Bruce, a friend of mine who is not on HAMB and myself. No one else was with us.

    @Hot Rod Ron -

    Nice pics! ... Great event coverage! ... Thanks for sharing!

    Also ... I'm curious why 91 year old Bruce Meyers (of Meyers Manx dune buggy fame) gave you the private tour ... I'd bet that @Deuce Bruce Meyer (i.e., no "s") would have provided you with a much better tour :rolleyes: :D

    Great photos, regardless of your tour host! Thank you!
    When I saw this one I thought it was a stroller for grown ups...I guess all hot rods are. :cool:

    Hmmmm...........I like that.

    Interesting choice of tyres too...........as the fronts look like they are Dunlop R5 racing tyres? :cool:
