Identify this speed part

    The main difference between the unit is the threads that screw into the vacuum advance unit. The Ford unit had a much smaller thread pattern than the GM/Chrysler unit. Also the push rod that places tension against the spring is different. The Ford unit has a smaller diameter push rod as opposed to the non-Ford unit. The non-Ford unit has a "foot" on the end. The picture of the Vac-U-trim at the beginning of this thread is of a Ford unit. The picture on the paperwork you have listed on Ebay is of a non-Ford unit. hope that helps.

    The ones I have are for the Fords. I do have a couple for the non-Fords as you say, that sounds racist (just kiddin), but I am keeping those for my projects. Is the address on Pine St. correct for shipping.

    I worked one Saturday for EELCO when I was 16. If any one has an EELCO fule log with EELCO double stamped on it. I did it.That's why I only worked one Saturday. At the end of the day the Vac-U-Trim fell into my lunch pail.:( Oh well. Pogo
