Well Keith, you seem to be pulling off the near impossible task of making a car look good from every angle. Looking great man, should ride great too, I think you made good choices for the suspension set-up.

    Keep it up!

Thanks guys, I couldn't wait to mock it up and put air to it so I could see how bad I fucked it up!
I tell you, it's easy when you can go to guys on the HAMB to ask questions and get excellant advise, they make even a hacker like me look good!!!

Yea Thomas, I'm looking for a decent pair of 37 Master Deluxe, simple and smooth that'll be tucked in close. I've still got some things coming in the front and rear, but I can't give away all of the secrets.;)

I bolted up the other side and pushed it outside. I know what I was planning for the front, but lets see what those wheels of yours will turn up??
I'm always open for ideas. :) Thanks

  14. very nice job.. is that as low you can go in the front? would be cool with the nose on the ground but then you'd have to probably change the tires.. good job though i like the ass end.. sexy!

    Hell no !

LeadSledMerc, great work, cool car ! I'd keep the stock grille, clean the hood sides and put on some nice looking headlights, lower than stock of course and partially frenched into the fenders.Praised be the lowered.

I don't think the front would look right if it were too much lower. The tucked and tight bumpers will take care of a lot of any height concerns. Are ya gonna use a split bumper to let that grill stand out?

Keith, I think you should keep the grille. That thing is sweet. I was thinking of doing what Frenz mentioned on the lights, mount them A lot lower than stock. As for hood sides, let me finish the visual in my head.

No problem, I meant to get back to you when you asked last time.
I picked the skirts up off eGay real cheap. They are marked 36 - 46 chevy in marker on the back side, but other than that I don't have a clue who made them. There layed up glass with riveted and glassed in brackets.

Frenz, I agree with you and speedaddict about dropping the lights, but I'm still up in the air on the grill and hood sides. There's a certain grill I'm looking for that would "fit" if I can find one, but that stock 37 grill is a nice fall back.
Planning on using 38 buckets with the shallow stamped standoff sections from the 38, but I think I'm going to hang them off the doghouse. I don't want to totally lose the 37/38 look, but I do want them in tighter and lower. Here's a mock up from yesterday.
Thanks a lot for the ideas and comments.:D

Personally I love the stock grill but it depends on what else ya do. Your thoughts on the headlights I think are dead on...of course then ya gotta do somethin' with the hood sides because of the stamped spear. That's a great part of the 37's design, but they will look pretty odd if they don't fall in line with the headlights.

The stepped reveal on the hood has gotta stay. :)

perhaps a 40 chebby headelight bucket with its length would look good real tight as near grille as possible and should clear the hood panel??? see i like these things too............
