Alright. Laziness and this damn vegas heat threw a big ass wrench in the works.. I took a couple months off from the ol girl and am regretting it now, only a month until the car show / deadline I had hoped to make. So this weekend I peeled my ass off the couch and away from Night Court re-runs. The roof and body are all one unit again. *whew*. So she's pretty close to being drivable. Not done, but drivable.. Here come some pictures.
I realized she needed a little structural support, so I cut up some plate and welded it in place. Doesn't look like much but it will do.
I couldn't resist setting the glass in to see how she looks. At this point, I'm very happy I stayed with the stock glass..
Last couple weeks have been brutal, everyone's projects are on hold You're not welding that frame stub with a HF welder right? Glass and roof shape looking real nice BTW
This morning I decided I didn't like how my new "c pillar" kicked out at the bottom. So I cut it up and started over. Ugh. You can see where I had it before. That was just silly..
Yup, frame is all welded up with the 85 amper. Turned her up high and burned it in slow. It'll be fine.. Or I'll be playing leap frog with my engine on the 15. Hahaa
Dammit man! That's nice, Wade in and make it work. Looks very well done so far. Keeping that back glass is great.
