  3. I don't think anyone could cover Hershey in one day, takes at least two. Carlisle can be done in one day and like said before Thursday or Friday.

If I was travelling half way around the globe to see two of the best automotive events, I would arrive in Carlisle on Thursday- and take in that event Thursday thru Saturday. Then you have Sunday and Monday to see Gettysburg, the Amish country, etc. Try to arrive in nearby Hershey on Tuesday morning. See the AACA Museum and other Hershey attractions. Wednesday morning at 7am you start walking the swap meet. Pace yourself over the next 3 days and you might see most of it. Saturday morning is the AACA car show on the now closed golf course. If your feet get tired, stop in at our spaces in the Green Field, GAI 18-19.
One other thing. The Hershey hotels jack the rates 200% for the event. The roads in the area are excellent. Don't hesitate to stay between the two towns and keep the same room for the duration. Have fun and bring plenty of $$$$.

I don't do Carlisle, but I do Hershey starting Tues afternoon through Sat morning. For the last 10yrs several folks here post things I never did see after 4 days of walking. With thousands vendor spaces I guess you have to expect that.

Do everything Greene-reddy said. On Friday of Hershey be in the stadium at 10:00 for the race car certification. The race cars entered for the show on Saturday get to take a few laps to prove they run. Eat ham and cheese sandwiches at Carlisle and pizza at Hershey.
