  2. Thanks again for the kind words! @2deuces64 @bct @waxhead @Schwanke Engines
@Late to the Party , I agree on the clear lenses and will look at changing that up in the future.
@shopdawg Greg, we are way past due for a visit, Need to meet at an event now that I can.
@krylon32 I am eager to see your truck, I just know it will be awesome!
@kiwijeff That is my favorite picture! We have been having a deluge of rain here and that night was such a great break from it. First longer drive in it. All good!
@2935ford I'm working on the video thing. Needing a break in the cloudy rainy days here.
    and
@Dennis Lacy ,Yes, it is weird. Just like that, it's a thing, a valid mode of transportation.
I used to open the garage door and fire it up, to the disapproving glances of the neighbors, now I open the garage door and look straight over while saying inside, you can kiss my ...
It's a hotrod, it's a real thing, I won't sneak it around the block and quickly put it away.
I'll drive it around the block a dozen times if I want to cause now it has doors and windshield and lights, and a licence plate.
It is, and has been a long road, but the reward of building a hotrod is like no other.
I'm so happy with the truck! And driving it is like nothing else.

Very nice. All the work has paid off, and now you have one bad ass truck to cruise around in. You know the neighbors are just envious!

That is killer. Looking forward to seeing it around town, although lately it seems you might have to put pontoons on it.

I have no beef with the meat truck! You've done an incredible job, and in short order.
I can only hope my project turns out half as nice. Thanks for taking us along the build road, sharing details along the way. Looking forward to the video, and your next project. Take care!

Hi Kelly just read your thread great truck and beautiful job love the look with the fenders yours and dennis's is what im going for but with my truck being an old school 60's build im afraid if i change it it will loose all its history cause ill have to look for another.
I do have a question what size tires are those and how much did Greg lower your axle?
    John

  16. Hi @john dioli and Thanks!
My axle is the original 33 dropped 2 1/2" I believe,
but it is called a 4" drop
The information is all on Greg's website.
    Top quality work!

My front tires are 5.00 16 and the rears are 8.90 16

I really like that truck you got, it is s definite time capsule,
I would just get it running and enjoy and experience it as it is
for a year or two, then make bigger changes if you want to.
There is so much cool about that, but i'm a sucker for commercial headlights,
so I probably would change those.

Must feel so great to pull out of the shop and just keep going in such a sweet ride.

We'll have to get together once my truck is finished.

    Congrats

I don't know why I have not checked our your thread for so long but I am glad I did today. Your truck came out great! I really enjoyed your posts. That turn signal idea and the execution of the project was brilliant!

  19. Thanks for checking back in on it @redwelter and @The 39 guy
It is so much fun to be driving it, and i'm really happy with the end result of
    the build.
I never deviated from what I originally planned, and there isn't any one part I
    wish I had done differently.
I have about 1000 miles on it now, thanks to an amazing fall, the chances to drive it
    just keep happening.

G day Kelly I came across your build post a while ago and instantly fell in love with the 33 wheelbase stance, color, detail and lack of it, perfect!
I mentioned this to my better half and she said get one (as long as its steel! she's funny like that) I have never seen a 33 34 for sale outside the US let alone in a price that I could afford or that still attracted magnets.
So the following day while going through the funny pages (classifieds) guess what 34 body, tray all panels no rust! except in doors and cheap .
So my 31 5w has been moved to the back burner with the harley pan.
Now I have to decide on the engine I have an 8ba in very good condition but everything over here in OZ costs twice as much.
Anyway will keep you guys posted thanks again Kelly
