My 39 Chev coupe is nearly ready for paint and ***embly. Looking at wheel options. Is anyone running Wheel Vintiques (or similar) chrome plated artillery rims?
    What is the quality like?
Pics would be great, especially on a fat fendered car.

Thanks. Is the US wheel different to Vintiques in the shape of the centre?

That is a great looking car.
Is the chrome plating good quality on the wheels?
    Thanks

Wow...I'm not usually a fan of Artillery wheels, but this thread may be changing my mind. On the right car, they look RIGHT!

I'm quite the opposite. I like painted artillery wheels, but I don't like the chrome ones at all. Somehow, the chrome makes them too "busy" without the grace that wire wheels have . Your car, do as you damn well please-but they'd not be my choice.

Ha, funny this thread has resurfaced. I ended up going with chrome smoothies with bow tie centre caps. More than happy with that choice. Chev coupe 80.jpg

These are my favorite pattern for artillery wheels, they are custom made by EVOD Industries and are $2000.00 each. Way out of my price range, but to me they are elegant. I would replace the brushed metal Dodge hubcap with a set of 49 Dodge truck hubcaps.

I just don't know. Somehow there's too much bulk in the center and they're too thin at the outer edge f the spokes. But, again, just me.
