Is bagging my Buick 56R going to put it on the ground, or will I need to get into other, heavier modifications.

    Thanks for your help-

You are going to get into some major mods to your frame if you want to plant it on the pavement. You will have to modify the rear suspension to get the most articulation. Does this car have leaf springs in the back ? What front end is in the car ?

Here's a link to some pics of a '50 Buick a friend of mine built (2bdriven customs) on here. I don't think it took much work to get it this low. But if I remember right it wasn't on the deck. I think the wheels it's on are 18's.

Well, a '50 Buick should come from the factory with coill springs and a torque tube drive line. I don't know if you are keeping any of that, or not. However, I believe that a Buick ch***is is quite similar to my '48 Caddy ch***is (although the Caddy came with leaf springs) and in order to get the frame on the ground, you need to really get after the frame and the floor boards in order to create enough clearance for everything to move up and down the required amount. It's a PITA but well worth the effort when all ****oned back up.
