I believe that is either Hap Sharp or Roger Penske at Nassau in that shot,though many others drove the 2nd car.

 

I grew up close by there - my parents are still in the neighborhood.

 

San Marino in the early 50s. The paper was 5 cents and Pasadena had two daily papers. The morning paper was the Star News and the afternoon paper was the Independent.

 

San Marino early 50s. The market later became a Jergensen's market. High end market. You told the clerk which vegetables you wanted and he selected them for you. From where I took the photo, later was the John Birch Society.
