    Howdy HAMB,
I'm a married guy in my forties living in Omaha, Ne. Got sucked into browsing craigs list by my brother and long story short...I now have a roached out 1948 Pontiac Streamliner in my garage. Figured I could build myself a hotrod out her and look cool for a few miles a day....how hard could it be , right? Riiigght. Didn't take long to figure out I was going about Rodding all wrong. I have some mechanical background (USMC -3521) and know my way around the garage. Nevertheless, I dont need to reinvent the wheel, ya know. I don't know squat about building a hotrod, so what....I found some folks that do! My first hot rod build has officially begun as of right NOW.

Lots of work ahead like my 46 Olds. Love the rear screen wiper and backup lamp.

Hi & welcome. Those make nice rides and you should really enjoy it. I drive my 46 Chevy coupe nearly every day and look forward to several cruises & events every year.
    Good luck with it. Jimmie

A labor of love...Shoot, I just want to drive it! My 48 and your 46 look alot alike. I like the fastback design and the "B" body is a nice size. I looked at a 1948 Pontiac torpedo built on the 'A' body and it looked exactly like my streamliner but smaller and flimsy...cheap. I almost bought it as a companion car and just because they didnt make too many '48 torpedos. Decided to focus on the car I have.

Thanks for having me. It has cleaned up a bit. Some how some way I've managed to get a shine on rust! As much as I like the 'patina' and awesome 'aroma' a vehicle has from sitting in a field for 50+ years, I'm glad to be moving on to mechanical phase. car.jpg IMAG0020.JPG
