Yes, I'm painting as much as I can this week before it gets too hot.
I also painted a bunch of blue today on assorted parts.

It sure does. And there are always more little parts than you realize. :D
I'll be painting more of them tomorrow.

Very nice..... But I hope it doesn't end up in the "too nice to drive" dilemma.

I'm not going to let that happen.
I'll be driving it plenty

The paint will be reasonably nice but far from a show car and it's definitely not going to be a garage or trailer queen :D

  16. F that.
Make it as nice as you can.
You painted it once you can paint it again.

I've always told people that are painting their own car that want a driver and not some super fancy show paint to just do it to the best of your ability. I promise it won't be perfect or flawless under scrutiny. Those guys who are known for perfect paint didn't get it right the first car they body worked and painted and neither will you. So don't try to do a poor job, do the best you can and I'm sure it'll be poor enough to suit your needs.

That being said yours is looking pretty sharp! All that time spent on body work will really pay off when it's shiny

Poor enough to suit my needs o_O :D
I'm not going for poor believe me.

I'm doing the best I can and re-doing some parts I'm not satisfied with.

You're right about the time spent, days and days, leading into weeks :D.
I'd hate to have to pay an hourly bill for that
It would be a big one.

I think I'm doing pretty good so far.

Here's the tailgate I shot this morning

I was admiring your spray booth. Is the yellow duct your discharge air line? What is it? I need some[IMG]

Yes it's hooked up to the 12" confined space vent fan and with the filter box I made it's working really well.
It's a 12" x 25' flexible duct hose made specifically for the confined space fan.
I got mine at princess auto.
Do a search, I think you should probably be able to find a source.

"Poor" is just the word used in that generic conversation most of the time, no slight ment towards your ambitions;)

It should read just do your best and it will be good enough to meet your needs.
    That would make sense. :)

More shiny parts, I wasn't happy with the way the doors and grille shell had turned out so I sanded them down and re-sprayed them early this morning along with the rest of the small parts.

What's left now is the blue on the body and bed.
Also the headlights and tail lights.

Looks good Larry. That Blue is really going to look good against the off white. I was inspired to paint today as well. :)
