Check out what I found on my local Craigslist. A 12v dupree chrome dome fuel pump from the 60's. In the box with instructions, indorsed by George Barris no less. They must not have made many, it's hard to find any info on it.
Cool pump, probably worth more as a collectible/ shelf ornament then actually using it. At it's age if the diafram isn't already dried up and toast it would be as soon as the ethanol hit it.
yup those are really cool. but it would never work on a car being that old, I would like to display it with my stuff.....
The guy wanted $20 for it, I gave him another $20 to ship it. I thought it was worth a couple hundred based on the little info I did find on the net. I think there was one on the munster mobile.
Looks like a Autopulse with a chrome cover, I've had a bunch of Autopulse fuel pumps in the past, only had one fail and I managed to cheat it to get home. I happened to find one recently in a box of parts that's been in my stash for years, if I recall properly it was last used as a transfer pump and could end up on my lakes modified. ............ Jack
Hell, I think he still got a deal. There was a lot of interest in it. One dude called me an untrustworthy HAMB ***** because he got outbid on it before the deal was finalized. (I had it listed OBO). It's funny now but it pissed me off when he said it.
