Projects Fenders or no fenders

  1. Fenders are becoming fashionable. Done right they can make a normal ride height car look really low.

Full fenders, 6" Zee in rear of frame...Chopped top will be enhanced, and you will be freed.

    To me sedans need fenders.
I've never liked them fenderless and always thought they just looked off or wrong without them.

I did two with fenders, it is what I prefer. IF I was to do another it would have motorcycle fenders up front, bombed fenders on rear. No running boards, way easier. Look at a lot of them, the ball is in your court !

Spencer, Don't get me wrong, I love driving my fender less Deuce roadster , it has 55K on the clock, BUT. When it rains, those tires throw water everywhere. I do have a Bop Top with side curtains for the car but at every turn the front wheels spray water pretty hard. The rear tires form "rooster tails" and when drivers get behind you they get hit pretty hard. In rain it's not uncommon for drivers that were behind me to come up beside me and "flip me off". Anyone that has a fender less car will probably tell you the same thing. Fender less cars are cool but I would suggest putting fenders on your car.

Thank you all for the response I am in florida and it rains alot. I think I am going to run fenders if I can find the running boards. I have searched everywhere but can't find a set. So maybe there will be a set at the turkey rod run in daytona!! Thanks again everyone!!!

  11. You could always run stock (and trimmed) rears and bicycle fenders on the front then you don't need no stinking boards.

  15. You can buy brand new Model A boards cheaper than you can restore rusty originals.

Depends on your vision of a hotrod, looks good both ways. I wouldn't be swayed by other peoples preference.
