For Sale: GM 12 Bolt Posi rear axle, 3.31 ratio. Originally from 66 Chevelle A-body. Previously in stalled in a 53 Studebaker. Brackets on the axle tubes had been removed and a pair of conventional leaf spring perches welded on. Eyes on cast center good.. Center casting date code, H 245 (Aug 24, 1965) Center casting part # 3875745N (1966 Chevelle) Stamped code in the axle is: CFG10651P, ***I think***. Numbers are very faint with light pitting making it super difficult to read them. Don't buy it for the numbers stamped in it, they are one drive in the rain away from being unreadable. I pulled the cover, and it does indeed have the posi unit (see picture), does indeed have the 12 bolt carrier, and verified the ring and pinion is 3.31 ratio. Gears look nice. Complete rear axle end to end, includes two old chrome reverse wheels if you want them. My firm bottom line price is $595. Pickup here only in Central Michigan. Sorry, no shipping.
