    Believe these bumpers are 49 Plym. They are dirty but in excellent shape. 20170819_181111 (2).jpg 20170819_180956 (2).jpg 20170819_175549 (2).jpg 20170819_180315 (2).jpg 20170820_145714 (2).jpg 20170820_164043 (2).jpg Shifter has 68-7222. Swan neck is 35-6 or early 39? Bumper guard is marked.

  2. Measure the inside width of larger shifter fork. If larger than 3" or if marked with a "91" prefix, then the shifter is late '39 or '40 - '53 pickup. (The 91 prefix fork is the good one which is used with the improved synchro.)

Measured it and it's smaller, more like 2 13/16. Can anyone verify the bumpers in the top pic? Were they available on other years and if so, how do you tell the difference?

  4. Think the bumpers are MOPAR, but earlier, maybe DeSoto.

  6. yup, bumpers are 49 Plymouth, bumper guard is aftermarket, don't know what it fits but is adaptable to many bumpers.
