History California 56 Chevy Drag Car I.D.

Anyone recognize my buddy's 56 drag car that came out of Cali ? He added the straight axle but photo shows it with fibergl*** clip on. The car is now in western N.Y. and painted green/white racing nostalgia events.

 

Yes, that was mine. I bought it in Duarte Ca in the San Gabriel Valley. The guy I bought it from said it had a 460 Ford Motor in it at one time.
Duarte is a stones throw from Irwindale Raceway.

I'm pretty sure I saw this car sitting in a driveway in Upland, California around '98-'99 when we were house shopping, other than that, I have no info, sorry guys.

 

PS. It sure turned out nice!

 

I saw that car up close a couple weeks ago. There's alot of nice fabrication on that one.

The yellow tint/headlight give it that little extra. Nice to see a CA car travel far and still living
