These pics are from 15yrs ago & they were the only 5" whitewalls i could find at the time, i used Coker on all three but i don't think they make 'em now.
They might be Goodyear as seymour mentioned or another i've seen recently is Lester, Firestone do a 5" WW 890x15.........be interested to know what those are when someone finds out.

6.70x15 Firestone? I thought those only came with ~3.25-3.50" whites. Weird.

    dirthawker1313,PM sent.Cool,thank you !

Joe Garcia once told me the tires are 6.70 Firestones but these may be "older" ones with a wider whitewall. The Firestone 6.70 currently available has, just like seymour says,a 3 1/4" whitewall.I've got those on my car.The ones on the Chevy somehow look wider and I'd say they are perfect.

seymour, where did you see a 6.70 with 3.50 whitewall and you have any idea what the whitewall width on that cool Shoebox is ? I think those are 3.25".

    Thanks !

Jeez...in the end that tire really is the "basic" 6.70 Firesone ?

I'm probably remembering wrong. I went through a bunch of tires at the tire shop and I thought they had some that said 3 1/2" but it was probably some other size.

Hey Frenz or anyone else- Do you know the overall tire diameter of the Goodyear 6.70-15 with a 4 1/4" whitewall?? And who sells this Goodyear tire?? I haven't seen this tire in Coker's catalog.

Lloyd, here's all the info you need :

    http://www.universaltire.com/cart.php?target=product&product_id=25065&category_id=346

I'm trying for so long to find out what those tires are.Even asked Joe Garcia, the builder of that gorgeous Chevy but Jesus Valencia obviously changed them as Mr. Garcia told me the tires are 6.70 Firestones.I did get in contact with weez who has them on his killer '50 Ford, also with J.B.who has them too. It's a great looking tire, narrow overall width but wide whitewall, cool thread pattern, timeless stuff,it simply has the look !

The tread width is 4.40" but don't know the total width.I guess it's somewhere around 7" as the tread width of a 6.70' Firestone is 4.50" and total width is 7,01".I think the Good Year should come close.

And for other tire nuts out there. Here's a pic of a 6.70 and 7.00 Firestone. The 6.70 looks a lot more narrow compared to the 7.00 although the difference is only 0,30".Of course this is not visible on the pic,it's just to show the difference in whitewall width which is 3 1/4" and 4 1/8".I would have been very grateful for these kind of pics some time ago when I tried to find the right tire for my car so maybe they are of any help for somebody else now...
