I have a 26 T sedan on a custom frame(based on a wescott design) Is it possible to use model A fenders on a T sedan body? I think the front ones will work ,i'm more concerned about the rears fit on the body.
YES! And they look great! I don't think the rear fender well is as deep as an A so you may have some trim work to get them to fit. NOTE: There are early 1928 front fenders that have a slightly different inner apron shape. This can cause tire rubbing, later 28's have more room.
28 fenders were designed to fit! Since the A body was very delayed Henry had all the T holes punched in the A frame so he could use 27 bodies. I built a 26 Coupe on A rails with 28 fenders and aprons, all a bolt on and looked great.
o.k. so do 30,31 fenders fit the same as 28,29? are they wider?also are all the aprons interchangeable
I'm thinking about putting A fenders on a 27 touring, with a A frame. Is it a straight bolt on? 28 fenders only? Or do 29 work as well? Pictures anyone?
Old thread but I think the 28/29 fenders are pretty close to the same. I used to see a 27 Roadster running A fenders at Vintiques NW nats and a couple of other events in the 80's and 90's that looked great set up that way.
