    Hello everyone,

I have a 1954 Lincoln Capri that I picked up over the summer to bring back to life. I was wondering if anyone out there knows how much the engine and transmission in this car are worth? I believe it is the 317 LYB with a Hydrostatic transmission. It is complete and has 89,935 miles on it.

Worth to sell? To rebuild? To sell running maybe 500. to the right guy . cost to rebuild probably 5000+. Welcome to the H.A.M.B. and the Lincoln world.

Thank you for the information. I was looking to trade it for a modern power train (I am thinking a 4.6 from a mark viii due to their availability/affordability) but I had a guy write me regarding how much I wanted for it. I couldn't find any comparisons when I looked.
